Players and Parents,

The Wootton Ice Hockey Team Board and Coaches would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new players and their families. We also welcome back our returning players and their families. We hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer and that the new school year started off well. With your support we can continue to provide the best possible experience for your player that hopefully your child will remember and benefit from for a lifetime!

 A few items of importance:

- Dryland will continue until practices start.  A schedule will be sent out on Facebook - Please make sure your player is a member of the Wootton Ice Hockey 2011-2012 page.  Dryland is usually on Tuesdays at 6 pm and Thursdays at 6 pm at the Wootton Track.

- Season practices will be on Mondays from 3:00-4:30 pm and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:20 and will begin on Monday
 10/3/11 which is the first day of player evaluations. Specific details will follow.
 
- We will most likely have 10-11 regular season games and 5-10 additional non-league games .
 
- SAVE-THE-DATE: The Alumni Game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23rd from 7:00-8:30 pm at Rockville. All current Wootton players are invited to play against our Alumni and COACHES.

- The first day of regular season game play will begin in the middle of November and will end on 2/10/11. County Playoffs will begin during the week of 2/13/11 with the State Semifinals and Finals beginning the week after President's Day Weekend .
- Again this season, USA Hockey has mandated that all PLAYERS and COACHES register with USA Hockey. Directions to register will follow below.
 
 - Below are the registration directions. All the mentioned forms are in the "Documents" Section of our website www.woottonicehockey.org . Please return the requested forms and fees as soon as possible. Returning the forms/fees in early is especially important for the new players so that their uniforms can be ordered and delivered in time for the first game. No player will be allowed on the ice until all forms and fees are returned.
 
Here is a list of the forms that are in the "Documents" section of our website and what needs to be done with them:

 1.    WIHC – General information- no signature required – do not return
 2.    WIHC – Registration Form- fill out and return
 3.    WIHC – Rules and policies-  no signature required – acknowledged on Registration Form  -2pages
 4.    WIHC – Codes of Conduct (player’s and parent’s)  no signature required – acknowledged on Registration Form- 2pages.
 5.    WIHC- Apparel Order Form - fill out and return
 6.    USA HOCKEY—Waiver of Liability - fill out and return (even if you are registered with another club- form must be filled out)
 7.    USA HOCKEY—Consent to Treat/Medical History - fill out and return both pages (even if you are registered with another club- form must be filled out)
 8.    USA HOCKEY – Code of Conduct - fill out and return (even if you are registered with another club- form must be filled out)
 9.    USA Hockey Registration – Directions are included under separate document
10.    Wootton Booster Club Membership Form-Part of our registration fee includes a $40 Booster Club Membership. We will submit a “List of Members” to the Booster Club.  The goal of the Boosters is to have 100% Membership on all sports teams.  If you have joined Boosters for
 another sport, please make note on the fee section on the Checklist.  If you want to contribute more than the $40 Family Membership, we have a space on the fee section of the Checklist for you to do so and we will make a note of that amount on our “List of Members” that we submit to the
 Boosters. This organization has been very generous with our club and becoming a member is a great way to show our appreciation! This wonderful organization supports ALL athletes at Wootton.

 Please enclose the required forms (Forms - Checklist, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) and mail with payment to Wootton Hockey, c/o Kally Panagos, 14412 Sylvan Glade Drive, North Potomac, MD 20878 - FORMS ARE NOT TO BE TURNED IN AT SCHOOL, FORMS AND PAYMENTS DUE BEFORE TRYOUTS / NO EXCEPTIONS.
 
 Also included in the "Documents" section is an OPTIONAL Booster Club "Buy A Brick" form.  Please consider this request.
